Hydra-Swing Hopper Transport Auger

Introducing the Hydra-Swing Hopper from Power-Flite
If mobility is something you want from your auger, then you want the Hydra-Swing Hopper from Power-Flight. We named it Hydra-Swing because the hydraulically driven auger is designed to swing 270 degrees for easy operation. Now you can effectively work different areas without moving the entire auger. And due to its superior design, the Hydra-Swing will operate equally well on uneven ground too. The Hydra-Swing hopper includes a variable speed hydraulic flow into the transport auger. This means your wagon or truck unloads faster and you get done sooner. When the job is finished, the hopper sits conveniently in the saddle bracket for transportation.

Power-Flite transport augers are constructed with a heavy 14 gauge outer tube. Eight inch tubes are galvanized, ten inch tubes are painted. The auger screw is 3/16" thick, stretched and welded to high strength center tube. Utilizing solid steel drive and connector shafts, with cupped intake flighting for increased capacity. All undercarriages are 2" x 4" heavy duty rectangular tubing. Engineered with bottom drive on the 8 and 10 inch models, less horsepower is required and higher efficiency achieved due to the shorter drive train. This completely eliminates the drive line bearing problems yet outperforms top-drive models. They also have a lower center of gravity allowing wheels to be closer to bottom end of auger. This ultimately provides a longer reach capability and gets closer to buildings and bins.
   

Power-Flite Transport Augers

8" and 10" Bottom Drive
Less horsepower is required and higher efficiency achieved due to the shorter drive train. Completely eliminates bearing problems yet outperforms top drive models. Gives lower center of gravity, allowing wheels to be closer to bottom end of auger. Provides a longer reach capability and gets closer to buildings.

Oil Enclosed Chainbox
Both 8" and 10" augers are driven with an oil enclosed chainbox. Hardened sprockets run on ball bearings.

Dependable Quality
Heavy 14 ga. outer tube. Eight inch tubes are galvanized. Ten inch tubes are painted. Auger screw is 3/16" thick, stretched and welded to high strength center tube. Solid steel drive and connector shafts. Cupped intake flighting increases capacity.

PTO Shafts
Bloom furnishes their transport augers with high quality Walterscheid PTO shafts which are designed with safety and durability in mind.

For safety the entire PTO shaft guard does not rotate but is held in place with a safety chain. Additionally the U-joints at each end of the shaft are covered with a flexible non-rotating cone shield. This protects the operator from accidentally contacting the rotating parts of the PTO shaft.

For durability the shaft guard is made of specially compounded plastics that withstand severe impact at subzero temperatures and resist UV sunlight deterioration. All shafts include an internal restraint cable to prevent the PTO shaft from inadvertently being pulled apart during operation.

Bloom Hand Winches

Transport augers are provided standard with brake model hand winches that add safety & convenience to their operation. Design with a friction brake, the winch automatically applies a constant and positive hold when lifting or lowering the auger. When handle is released, the auger remains in position. Extra heavy duty construction for durable longer life includes heavier plate construction and permanently lubricated drive shaft needle bearings.

Bloom Hydraulic Winch Option
Bloom offers a powerful hydraulic winch for transport augers. This hydraulic winch provides the farmer with the convenient ability to raise and lower the auger from the tractor seat, while positioning the auger at the bin site. Bloom, a leader in hydraulic winches, uses only high strength cast iron and steel construction in their winches. The hardened and ground worm shaft and high alloy bronze worm gear are supported in an oil enclosed gearbox by long lasting TimkenŽ bearings.
