Key Features of the Series 1000C Hydraulic Cable Winch

  • Gear Case: Made of the same high strength cast iron as the Series 1000, ensuring durability and protection against dirt.
  • Worm Shaft: One-piece alloy steel, hardened and ground, designed for direct coupling with the hydraulic motor.
  • Worm Gear: High-tensile aluminum-nickel alloy bronze, engineered for maximum power transmission.
  • Gear Ratio: Standard 20:1, with options for 10:1, 27:1, and 40:1 ratios.
  • Bearings: Features tapered roller bearings for the worm gear and worm shaft, with a sealed ball bearing in the outer end housing.
  • Drum Shaft: 1-1/2” diameter heat-treated alloy steel with a minimum tensile strength of 150,000 psi.
  • Cable Drum: Constructed from tough all-steel material, resistant to breakage or warping.
  • Capacity: Up to 12,000 pounds, same as the Series 1000.
  • Mounting Options: Includes base mount and low-profile mount options.

Applications and How It Compares to the Series 1000

The Series 1000C shares much in common with the Series 1000 hydraulic cable winches, including its applications. The Series 1000C, however, has a sliding clutch that allows free spooling of the drum for industrial pulling and dragging applications including:

  • rear of cab and front mounting on ½ to 1 ½ ton trucks
  • flatbed trailers

  • and abroad ships and boats

Safety Note

Like the Series 1000, the Series 1000C does not include a holding brake. If your application requires a holding brake, the Lift-Safe® winch series LS10H or LS10K with automatic hydraulic safety brakes are recommended.
